Testimonies of Resistance

“Crossing the Darién” is an AfroResistance production that amplifies stories too often silenced. The film follows a group of Black and LGBTIQ+ activists from the United States as they travel to Panama to witness firsthand the harsh realities of migration through the Darién Gap.

Beyond exposing the brutal conditions of the journey, the documentary reveals how structural racism and exclusion shape the experiences of thousands in transit. Our commitment is to make these realities visible, to denounce injustice, and to build collective memory as a tool for transformation.
